Medieval nunnery

Even in de middle ages, nuns had humour! And I’m just happy that I get at least one drawing in this otherwise quite boring book. This was written around 1500 and it is generally about texts that are meant to be read during dinner times at a nunnery. For anyone interested, the text basically says this: I, sister of Saint Augustin, promise to be submissive, pure and without property until I die.

Ps. For anyone who didn’t see it immediately, I’m talking about the little sour face in the middle of the page..
